BlackBerry is a technology company based in Canada. It was once the biggest smartphone brand but with the increase in Android smartphones, it was run out of the market. However, BlackBerry has jumped on the Android train and is starting to release Android smartphones with the failure of the BlackBerry OS smartphones. BlackBerry is expected to launch the BlackBerry KEY3 as the latest addition to the KEY series.


The BlackBerry KEY3 is going to be the successor to the previous BlackBerry KEY2 which was launched a couple of years ago. It is expected to be one of the highest-end phones from the Canadian company so it is going to pack some lovely specs and features.

Design and Body

Coming to the design, the BlackBerry KEY3 does not have the conventional smartphone design as it has a large touchscreen but also a physical QWERTY keyboard. The physical keyboard has been a feature in BlackBerry phones and it seems it’ll still be here.

The phone comes in a glass sandwich build with an aluminum frame holding the front and back glass together. It is also going to have a slim profile.


Upfront, the KEY3 is expected to have a 6.0 inches Super AMOLED display that has a 4K resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels and 600+ PPI density. It will have very slim bezels around the screen. There is Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the display so it is scratch resistant.

Processor and Memory

Under the hood, the BlackBerry KEY3 is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset coupled with the Adreno 660 GPU.


The phone will come with 8GB to 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. This is quite sufficient enough for any kind of user so you won’t need to worry about storage running out.


On the rear, there is a triple camera system that features a 108MP main camera with OIS, a 32MP ultrawide camera, and a 16MP telephoto camera with optical zoom. It will be able to record videos in up to 8K resolution.
There is also a 32MP selfie camera at the front.

Battery and Charging

On the inside, the BlackBerry KEY3 is expected to have a massive 4,500 mAh non-removable battery that will last it for a full day.
When the battery eventually runs low, it can be topped up with up to 30W fast charging via its USB Type-C port. It’ll take less time to charge fully which is great.

Network and Connectivity

The phone is expected to come with support for 5G networks as well as Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB On-The-Go.

BlackBerry KEY3 Price and Availability

The BlackBerry KEY3 price is expected to start at around $1000 for the base model and it can go up to $1400 for the top-of-the-line model. There is no official info on when this phone will be launched.
