2 years ago, Samsung released the Note 20 ultra. We have almost forgotten Samsung has lineups for the note series and today, Samsung announces the S22 ultra with a S-pen at the Galaxy unpacked event and we rest assured the note series is back home.
The S22 ultra is a successor to the S21 ultra, nothing changed In the spec just an upgrade by adding a new AI enhancement using the updated NPU to improve the photo and video quality in low light.

Display and Design
The new Galaxy S22 ultra looks similar to the note 20 ultra. It has a curvy side and a flat top and bottom, it features a Spen for drawing, sketching writing. The galaxy S22 ultra feature a 6.8-inch 1440p dynamic AMOLED 2x display with edge QHD+ resolution with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate as well as 240Hz touch sampling rate. It has a more colourful display and is brighter up to 1,750 nits.
Processor and memory
The S22 ultra comes with the new Exynos 2200SoC from Samsung which will be available for the global version and the snapdragon 8 Gen 1 from Qualcomm. Both chips are based on the new 4nm. Both processors feature the improved AI image and video processing, claiming to be 2X faster NPU than the S21 series.
The S22 ultra comes with 8GB of RAM, and 128GB internal storage. Other variants 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB are embedded with 12GB RAM.
Camera
The galaxy S22 ultra feature the same 108Mp F/1.8 main camera like the S21 ultra, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and a 10MP F/2.4 3x and 10Mp F/4.9 10x periscope.
The fronts feature a 40MP F/2.2 selfie camera and Samsung also added the Ai enhancement using the NPU to improve photo and video quality instead of adding new hardware.
Battery and Charging
The S22 ultra house a 5,000mAh cell that supports up to 45W wireless charging, 15W Qi wireless charging, and a Reverse wireless charging
Software
The S22 ultra is coming with the One Ui 4.1 running on top of Android 12.

The S22 ultra will be available in phantom black, phantom white, green and burgundy starting February 25 with pre-orders starting today. Price starts from $1199 for the 8/128GB model
