Blackberry has failed woefully and they are winding up starting today Jan 4. This means all devices running Blackberry Os 7.1 or earlier and as well Os 10 will stop making calls, receiving messages and 9.1.1 emergency calls.
All Blackberry applications will have limited features and mobile data and wifi supports might eventually become unreliable.
In 2016, the Canadian company stopped making its smartphones as it focused on cyber security software. They licensed the mobile phone to a Chinese company TCL.
Ever since TCL has taken up the challenge to sell Blackberry devices running on the Android operating system until they ran out of the market in 2020.
Today Jan 4, the company has decided to flush out of existence by discontinuing the Blackberry Os as they couldn’t stand the threat in the smartphone any longer among Apple and other Andriod brands.
As of the time of writing this post, sadly you won’t be able to make calls and send SMS on your blackberry device.
