Chuwi MiniBook X unveiled with 12GB RAM and Intel Celeron N5100 processor at $599

Following the launch of the Chuwi MiniBook in May earlier this year, Chuwi is set to launch its successor, the Chuwi MiniBook X. This is an upgraded version with some significant upgrades and increased optimization. The first MiniBook gained a lot of popularity after its launch and we’re expecting the same for the MiniBook X. In this article, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the newly announced Chuwi MiniBook X: its price, specs, and features.

Chuwi MiniBook X Price and Availability

Just like stated in the title, the Chuwi MiniBook X is priced at $599 which is relatively affordable. However, Chuwi has not confirmed when it will start selling the device but we are expecting it to be available in the coming weeks. When available, the MiniBook X will be purchased via Chuwi’s official store and other partner retailers.

Upfront, the Chuwi MiniBook X sports a 10.8-inch IPS display that has a 2K retina 2560 x 1600 px resolution with a 16 by 10 aspect ratio. The display has relatively thin bezels thanks to the 90% screen-to-body ratio and it also supports pen input. There is a tiny punch-hole cutout at the top of the display which helps to house the 5MP HD front-facing camera

Chuwi has now added a feature called YOGA Mode which gives you a 2-in-1 functionality so you can use the MiniBook X as both a laptop and tablet with senseless switching. It also has a full-sized keyboard to work alongside the full touchpad below.

Under the hood, the Chuwi MiniBook X draws its power from the 11th gen Intel Celeron N5100 processor with four cores and four threads. The processor is built on a 10nm fabrication process and it has a 10W thermal power consumption.
As for graphics, there is the latest-gen Intel UHD Graphics (24EU) which should be able to decode 4K videos and handle less-intensive games.
According to Chuwi, the MiniBook X should be able to easily handle document editing, basic video production, and modern gaming with increased efficiency.

The MiniBook X comes with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB high-speed SATA SSD storage which means you can get good multitasking and faster boot-up speeds.

As for ports, you get a full-featured USB-C port that has support for 45W PD 2.0 fast charging and video, audio, and data transmission. You also get a 3.5 mm headphone jack so you don’t need a dongle.
