The phone is like the only entry-level smartphone that has a glass and metal build. The phone has a thickness of 8.4 mm and weighs 187 grams, it is not so bulky. The phone comes in two different colours which are Space Gray and Gold.
Display
This smartphone is the Pro variant of the Umidigi A3 and it comes with a bigger screen. The Umidigi A3 Pro features a 5.7 inches TFT LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720×1512 pixels and 293 pixels per inch density. Processor and Memory
The Umidigi A3 Pro is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor which has a maximum clock speed of 1.5 GHz coupled with PowerVR 8100 GPU for graphics. The processor is an entry-level one so don’t expect flagship performance from it.
The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB built-in storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage if need be.
Camera
The entry-level smartphone has a dual rear camera setup which features a 12MP main camera with a 5MP secondary camera. The camera has features like panorama, face recognition and real-time filters. The camera can record 1080p or 720p videos both at 30 fps.
At the front, we have an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and features like selfie countdown and face recognition.

The device supports the following 4G bands: TDD-LTE B38 /40 /41 & FDD-LTE B1 /2 /3 /4 /5 /7 /8 /12 /13 /17 /18 /19 /20 /26 /28. Battery and Charging
Umidigi A3 Pro comes with a 3,300 mAh non-removable battery. The battery is expected to last you throughout a day if you’re an average user. The phone does not support fast charging so you’ll spend a little more time when charging it.
Software
The Umidigi A3 Pro runs on Android 8 Oreo out of the box. However, if you’re buying the phone now, it comes updated with Android 9 Pie out of the box.
Umidigi A3 Pro Review in 2020
The Umidigi A3 Pro is still a great entry-level smartphone even if it was launched about 2 years ago. The phone build quality is great and the performance is still okay for an entry-level. However, it has no update to the latest Android version so if you like updates it won’t be a good choice for you.
