Design and Body
The Tecno Camon X is a very good looking smartphone and might even the one with best looks in the whole Camon series. The phone body is made from polycarbonate as opposed to glass that other premium smartphones have around its price range. If you’re buying the phone, you can choose colours ranging from Blue to Gold and Black. The phone has a visual thickness of 5.2 mm and weighs 149 grams so holding it in your hands for a long time is no ish.
Display
Tecno Camon X sports a 6.0 inches IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720×1440 pixels and 268 pixels per inch density. The new smartphone has a nice bezel-less display giving you a full view thanks to the 18:9 aspect ratio.
The display resolution is low so don’t expect crisp, clear and sharp contents on it.
Processor and Memory
Looking at the processor, it’s a budget grade processor which is decent but not as powerful as other higher grade processors. The Camon X is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 SoC which has a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz coupled with Mali G71 MP2 GPU for gaming and graphics-related activities.
The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB built-in storage with a micro SD card slot for expanding the storage.
Camera
When coming to the camera department, the Camon X is well equipped, as you know the Camon series has been a camera-centric series. At the back, there is a 16MP camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture which is coupled with a LED flash. The rear camera can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
At the front, there’s a 20MP with f/2.0 aperture, the front camera has a LED flash which helps in low light situations.
Network and Connectivity
Tecno Camon X comes with support for 2G/3G/4G LTE network in it, the LTE support gives you access to fast internet speeds when downloading and browsing. It supports the storage 4G bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 40. The phone comes with Bluetooth v4.2 A2DP LE, WiFi, GPS, FM Radio and WiFi hotspot. The phone has a micro USB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.
Battery and Charging
Tecno Camon X comes with a 3,750 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. The battery is fairly okay and should last for a whole day if you’re an average user.
As for charging, the Camon X supports fast charging of up to 10W so you’ll spend less time when charging.
