Design and Body
The Camon 12 has very similar looks to the Tecno Phantom 9, Tecno’s flagship smartphone. The phone comes covered in plastic at the back and frame which is mediocre as a glass back and aluminium frame would have given it a premium feel. The phone quite slim having an 8.2 mm thickness and it weighs about 171 grams. The phone has the usual power and volume buttons at the side and the micro USB port, speaker grille and 3.5 mm audio jack at the bottom. The phone has a dewdrop notch at the top which houses the selfie camera, speakerphone grille and other sensors.
Display
The Tecno Camon 12 sports a 6.52 inches IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720×1600 pixels and 269 pixels per inch density. The screen has a 20:9 aspect ratio which allows more screen space in a relatively small body. The display is not so sharp and crisp as some other devices in the same price range or even less.
Processor and Memory
Tecno Camon 12 is powered by an octa-core (Cortex-A53) MediaTek Helio P22 processor which has a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU for gaming and graphics-related activities.
