- Like i stated before, you need to unroot your phone before proceeding to update to 8.1. If you are still rooted, then you can follow this guide on How to install OTA update with root on android. This only works on old android so i won’t recommend that.

- As a matter of fact, the only way to successfully install Oreo 8.1 on your phone if you are rooted is to reload your ROM by flashing its stock ROM.

Will I Loose My Files While Reloading ROM?
Yes you will surely loose your data’s while trying to reload your ROM. But to save your data’s, kindly untick data and cache while flashing. To be on the safer side, it is advisable you make complete backup of your device before attempting any of this steps.
