Infinix Note 4, Note 4 Pro And Zero 5 8.1 Oreo Update Now Available

Not quite long when we posted that Infinix is planning to release Oreo 8.1 update to Note 4, Note 4 pro and zero 5 in India. The update has reached India and eventually, it popped up on one of our reader’s system update early this morning.
So if you also have same device, Oreo 8.1 is officially available now for download via OTA updates.

How To Update Your Infinix Note, Pro And Zero 5 To Oreo 8.1



  • Like i stated before, you need to unroot your phone before proceeding to update to 8.1. If you are still rooted, then you can follow this guide on How to install OTA update with root on android. This only works on old android so i won’t recommend that.

Reloading Your ROM By Flashing Stock ROM

  1. As a matter of fact, the only way to successfully install Oreo 8.1 on your phone if you are rooted is to reload your ROM by flashing its stock ROM.

Will I Loose My Files While Reloading ROM?

Yes you will surely loose your data’s while trying to reload your ROM. But to save your data’s, kindly untick data and cache while flashing. To be on the safer side, it is advisable you make complete backup of your device before attempting any of this steps.
