Design and Body
Huawei P20 Pro is good looking, a shimmering beauty made from a slab of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. It is also quite attractive with an array of different colour options to choose from with aluminium covering at the sides. The phone has a depth of 7.8 mm and weighs about 180 grams. The premium smartphone is IP67 certified so it is water and dust resistant and can survive in 1 metres deep water for 30 minutes.
There is no audio jack, which means you could only use a USB Type-C to audio jack converter cable that comes along with the phone or a USB type C earphone or a wireless earphone.
At the bottom chin, you’d find the home button which is also the fingerprint sensor.

Display
The Huawei P20 Pro has a 6.1 inches OLED display with FHD+ resolution of 1080×2240 pixels and 408 pixels per inch density. The resolution is quite great but it doesn’t match that of other flagships like Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The phone has an 18.7:9 aspect ratio which allows more screen space in a relatively small body.

Huawei P20 Pro is powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor which has a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz coupled with Mali G72 MP12 GPU for graphics related activities. However, the processor is not the most powerful at the moment but you’d still get a premium performance.
The smartphone also comes with a 6GB RAM accompanied by a 128GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage space and doesn’t support memory card expansion.

Huawei P20 Pro comes with a 4,000 mAh battery. The battery is quite large compared to what other flagships have to offer. The battery is expected to last for full day on average usage. It has support for fast charging of 22.5W which charges the phone to 58% in just 30 minutes. However, wireless charging is absent.
Software
Huawei P20 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 skin on top. There is a planned upgrade to Android 10 with EMUI 9.1.
